Wood & Pickett Mini history
In 1973, Erik Brandt intended to give a very special
birthday present to his wife Margit. He
bought a brand new Mini 1275 GT and brought it
(back) to England together with a friend. The car
was delivered at the Wood & Pickett Park Royal
premises in London for a complete Margrave
conversion. The specifications included; modified
front end with twin headlamp system, full Margrave
interior trimmed in best quality Connolly hide,
Recaro seats, deep pile Wilton carpet (>
2” thick!), Margrave Elite dashboard,
Radiomobile eight-track stereo player and four
speaker system, tinted windows, electric windows,
etc.
In 1999 the car was found in a very bad/rusty condition and has been fully restored in 2007. Since then, this unique Mini is kept in superb condition by its present Danish owner.
